Brazilian Government Terminates an Antidumping Investigation on the Imports of Polyurethane Synthetic Originating from China

The Brazilian Government published today, on November 18, 2016, a notice on the termination of the antidumping investigation on the Brazilian imports of polyurethane synthetic (PU) originating from China, classified under Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) 3921.13.90, 3921.90.19, 3921.90.90, 5603.14.10, 5603.14.20, 5603.14.30, 5603.14.40, 5603.14.90, 5603.94.10, 5603.94.20, 5603.94.30, 5603.94.90 and 5903.20.00.

According to the notice, the termination of the investigation was requested by the petitioner, the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Artefacts (Assintecal – Associação Brasileira de Empresas de Componentes para Couro, Calçados e Artefatos).

Polyurethane synthetic (PU) is a fabric intended to substitute leather in the production of upholstery, clothing, footwear and fabrics.
