Eugene started his career at the then Department of Finance, branch Customs and Excise in Kimberley in 1983, where he was exposed to almost all the fields of Customs and Excise.
After working extensively in the field, he joined KPMG in 1997 as a consultant and became a specialist in the Motor Industry Development Programmes, which had several of the biggest automotive manufacturers in South Africa as clients. In 2000 he then joined Deloitte Indirect Tax division and consulted on many Customs and international trade matters and started presented specialised training courses to various large South African companies.
He left Deloitte in 2004 to join XA International Trade Advisors. Eugene feels that working for XA and Sidera is undoubtedly the best experience in his long spanning career in international trade consulting. He finds great fulfillment in helping customers with all international trade issues, specifically matters pertaining to his area of expertise, Customs and Excise.
