Antidumping Investigation on: High carbon steel wire

The Ministry of Foreign Trade (SECEX/MDIC) published today a Notice initiating an antidumping investigation on high carbon steel wire exported from China, classified under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature: 7217.10.19 and 7217.10.90.

Since China is not considered a market economy by Brazil, the United States of America will be used as surrogate country for purposes of calculating the normal value. In this regard, interested parties will have 70 days from the initiation of the review to comment on the choice of the surrogate country.

The initiation of the investigation will be timely published by the Government.
