Antidumping Duty on: Jute Bags from India and Bangladesh

The notice on extending the antidumping duties applied on the imports of jute bags originating from India and Bangladesh, classified under item 6305.10.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), for a period of 5 years, was published by the Brazilian Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX), on September 30, 2016.

The maintenance of this duty implies the charge of an additional tariff of US$ 0.45 per kg on all Brazilian imports of jute bags from India, with the exception of the imports from the companies Gloster Jute Mills Limited and Hooghly Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. An additional duty of US$ 0.16 per kg will be applied on all the jute bags’ imports from companies from Bangladesh.

The measure came into force on the day of its publication.
