Prioritizing the overall public interest, the Ministry of Economy decided to suspend the anti-dumping measures applied over Brazilian imports of disposable syringes for general use,  with a capacity of 1 ml, 3 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml or 20 ml, with or without needles, commonly classified under items 9018.31.11 and 9018.31.19 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature. This measure is valid from March 26 until September 30, 2020.

In addition to syringes, Brazil also suspended the anti-dumping duties applied over the Brazilian imports of Chinese pencils for writing, drawing and coloring. Despite these measures, the Ministry of Economy pointed out that there were no preliminary indications of shortages and disruption of the supply of products under analysis in the national market, in terms of volumes.

These resolutions are still under analysis by the government and subject to constant changes. Thus, interested parties should follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to receive news and updates.
