With over twenty years of practicing in international law, Carolina is one of the most accomplished professionals in her area.

Since 1999, she has been a legal advisor in Trade, primarily focusing on issues related to tariff and non-tariff barriers. She accumulated her significant experience representing clients before the different governmental institutions that regulate and apply international trade laws and other related matters, such as trade remedies, SPS, TBT, licenses, and other non-tariff barriers.

In 2005, Carolina was selected to assist the Brazilian mission in Geneva on various WTO matters, specifically concerning anti-dumping negotiations. With a background in international negotiations, Carolina provides reports of policy and strategy recommendations for exporters of goods and services on political trade debates.

She has also expanded into capacity building for law reform and implementation of trade commitments for governments and blocs relating to Association Agreements, WTO Accessions, and Trade Enhancement Programs.

Through Carolina’s international experience, she has defended Brazilian and foreign producers, exporters and importers, and governments in several different jurisdictions, including Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, and the US.

Carolina was recently selected by the Panelist Committee of the World Trade Organization to serve as a WTO panelist between 2018 and 2021.

Carolina is a native Portuguese speaker and is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Italian.
