EU initiates an Antidumping investigation on ferro-silicon

On August 2, 2017, the European Commission published a notice initiating an antidumping investigation on the exports of ferro-silicon originating from Ukraine and Egypt, classified under the European Combined Nomenclature (CN codes) 7202.21.00, 7202.29.10 and 7202.29.90.

The dumping and injury investigation will extend from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, and the examination of trends relevant for the assessment of injury will extend from January 1, 2014 to the end of the investigation period.
