New Technical Regulation on Potatoes

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture published an official notice establishing a new technical regulation for potatoes. The notice establishes an official pattern of classification, identity, quality, sampling and labeling for potatoes.

The new technical regulation aims to update the national potato standards in response to new market requirements caused by the incorporation of new varieties of potatoes into the Brazilian market.

The ordinance will come into force 120 days after its publication, on December 15, 2017.
