Nikhita is currently an International Trade Law associate with Sidera Consult and have recently graduated from the TRAIL+ program at the World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland wherein she is doing an LLM in International Trade and Investment Law and a Diploma in Advanced Studies in International Law and Economics.

She did the Bachelor of Legal Sciences and Bachelor of Laws (BLS. LLB.) course from Government Law College, University of Mumbai, India, having graduated in 2016 and is enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India. Simultaneously, she completed the Company Secretaries (CS) course from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. During her law studies, Nikhita interned at the Bombay Stock Exchange, where she was a part of the debt listing team. Thereafter, she worked for almost 3 years as an Associate with Wadia Ghandy & Co., one of the leading law firms in Mumbai. There she specialized in banking and finance matters where she inter alia handled debt related and securitization transactions.

Her interest in international law and relations drove her to participate in various Model United Nation Conferences, both in India and at international levels. Another area that appeals to her is finance and investment law. She also participated in the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition 2020 (ESLA Moot), representing the University of Bern.

She enjoys working in a team and shouldering responsibilities. She also finds it fascinating to undertake tasks that are challenging. Being a music lover, she enjoys playing the keyboard and is now learning the flute. Trying different cuisines and exploring places are some of the things she enjoys doing. She is also a voracious reader, a Warli artist and a chess player. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi and speaks basic French.
