Preliminary Affirmative Countervailing Duty Determination: Silicon Metal From Brazil
On August 14, 2017, the United States Department of Commerce published a preliminary determination of the antidumping and Countervailing investigation on the imports of silicon metal originating from Brazil, classified as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) subheading 2804.61.0000.
The notice preliminarily concluded that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of silicon metal from Brazil. According to the Department’s preliminary determination, the estimated countervailable subsidy rates are the following:
