Brazil Announces Preliminary Determination of the Antidumping Investigation on Steel Wires Originating from China
The Brazilian government published today, on November 28, 2016, a notice on the preliminary determination of the antidumping investigation on steel wires originating from China, classified under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (tariff codes) 7217.10.19 and 7217.10.90.
According to the notice, the preliminary determination regarding the existence of dumping, injury and causality was positive, meaning that, the investigation showed a causal relation between the Brazilian imports of steel wires originating China and the alleged injury inflicted to the national industry.
Therefore, the Brazilian Department of Trade Remedies (DECOM – Departamento de Defesa Comercial) has decided to continue the investigation, with the application of the following provisional antidumping duties:
