Sunset Review: PP Resin Exported from the United States

A public notice of the initiation of a sunset review on polypropylene resin exported from the United States of America was published on October 3, 2016 by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Office (SECEX – Secretaria de Comércio Exterior), under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC – Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior).

According to the notice, an extension period of up to six months, as from October 8, 2016, for the conclusion of the Sunset Review was declared, which represents a normal practice in the investigations of higher levels of complexity and has no special meaning about the likely results.

The Brazilian Government will timely publish the revised deadline of the recommendation by the Department of Commercial Defense (DECOM – Departamento de Defesa Comercial) to the Chamber of Ministries.
