Brazil Initiates Sunset Review Against Imports of Powder Magnesium Originating from Russia

The Brazilian government published today, on April 20, 2017, Notice Circular Secex 20 informing the initiation of the antidumping sunset review over imports of Magnesium Metallic in crude form, containing at least 99,8% of magnesium in weight, originating from the Russian Federation, classified in the item 8104.11.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).

This case has been going on since 2003, affecting Russia and China, and is one of the first cases of circumvention through product modification.
