Tariff Reduction on Brazilian imports of Beans

On June 24, 2016, the Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX) has officially published the decision of extinguishing tariffs on the Brazilian imports of beans, classified under item 0713.33.19 and 0713.33.99 of the NCM for a period of three months.

The decision of extinguishing tariffs on beans can be attributed to the current shortage of beans in the Brazilian market. With the measure, bean imports from any country are officially free from tariffs for a period of 90 days. After that period, imported beans will have the application of a 10% duty.

The measure came into force in the day of its publication.
