Tariffs Adjustment: Mercosur Common External Tariff (TEC)

The Chamber of Foreign Trade (CAMEX) published today an Official Notice adjusting the Mercosur Common External Tariff (TEC).

According to the Notice, Mercosur’s imports of nimesulide and barium carbonate will have their tariff reduce to 2%. In addition, the Notice also made public the decision to increase the import duty of oily acid from 2% to 14%.

The measure will come into force on July 1, 2016.
