Vijay is an experienced international trade professional, with more than 13 years of work experience in India. Furthermore, he is highly skilled in Indian market entry issues and practical understanding of the local market dynamics, supported by solid knowledge gained through fundamental stock market analytical research done for various institutional investors.

He is an instrumental resource for this particular Project for being physically located in the region of Tiruppur, which is considered the largest textile hub in India, known as Manchester of India, for its excellence in textiles.

Vijay’s previous experience working in various projects for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in India includes assistance in the development of a large network base that demanded constant interface with Ministries’ officials, including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (the “MHFW”). The ultimate result of this work was greater market access and trade flow for both Indian exports and Italian imports, based on intensive market analysis that generated real business opportunities.

Mr Shanmugam’s educational background includes a BE in Computer Science and Engineering from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in India and an International MBA from the University of Pisa, Italy.
